When a child has trouble understanding others (receptive language), or difficulty expressing wants, ideas, and feelings completely (expressive language), then he/she has a language disorder. Speech disorders are when a child is unable to produce speech sounds correctly or fluently.
Occupational therapy engages your child in activities that develop important fine motor, sensory, visual perceptual, behavioral, and critical thinking skills. Development in these areas improve performance in valued daily activities.
Feeding therapy is used to help infants and children who have difficulties sucking, chewing, feeding/swallowing, have food or texture sensitivities, or have reduced food or liquid intake.
Physical therapy aims to help children who are experiencing illnesses, injuries, or conditions that limit their ability to move or function in their daily life.
